Governance

In 2021, Christ Church Padgate, under the leadership of Area Dean, Rev. Neil Shaw and with the support and blessing of the wider Anglican Deanery of Warrington, commissioned Church Collective to engage with people who are not already connected to their parish church in a unique, Gospel-centered and relevant way.

Church Collective was planted out of Christ Church Padgate, where Rev. Simon Renison is licensed to offer an alternative expression of church with the particular hope of seeing many people come to faith in Jesus Christ. Church Collective is a church of all ages, with the emphasis of resources being positively weighted to tell those under the age of 30 years old about the love Jesus has for them.

As Christ Church Padgate and Church Collective are one, they are both governed by the same PCC, have the same safeguarding officer, same treasurer, and share the same policies and procedures. Christ Church Padgate is supporting Church Collective in our mission, by overseeing these essential aspects of the church's ministry and structures.

Church Collective shares the same hope as Christ Church Padgate that,

"We, belonging to CCP, discover in our relationship with God the love, joy, and peace that he gives.

In Jesus Christ, we find acceptance whatever our faults and his willingness to walk with us whatever our circumstances.

Through the Holy Spirit, we go out in forgiveness, power, and strength,... to witness and reflect his love in our interactions with everyone we meet."
