Hello!

Welcome to Church Collective.

We are a network of Collectives meeting in different locations across Warrington and online.

The Renison Family

Story so far

In the winter of 2020, Simon and Hannah Renison and their 3 young children moved to Warrington, at the invitation of the Bishop of Warrington, to plant a new Anglican church.

  • For the first 9 months of 2021 Simon, Hannah, and another couple seeking to discern God’s guidance for a new church plant in Warrington started to pray. Daily prayer, weekly prayer walks, and weekly times of interceding for Warrington became the foundations upon which Church Collective was birthed.

During these 9 months of intentional prayer and worship, this small team felt God guide them to go on an adventure and dream about the future of the church. Rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, the team felt God say to plant many local, small, and organic expressions of church, shaping church around the local community. A leap of faith was needed: this team wouldn’t just be planting one church community in Warrington, but many, 5, 10, even in time one in each neighbourhood in Warrington.

Church Collective was born: one church made up of many ‘Collectives' of people desiring to worship creatively, love generously and serve locally. The first Collective was planted in September 2021 and since then more and more have been, and continue to be planted in local areas in Warrington. Each Collective is a church, but they don't look or feel like a typical Sunday expression of church. Each Collective is planted with the values that ‘everyone is invited to play their part as we worship creatively, love generously and serve locally.’

Why don’t you join us as we continue to be a bold and courageous expression of the church for the people of Warrington?
